A boy with bones and and 1 eyelash
I ate a papaya and a banana from our own trees, I picked roses, from my own garden (all very pink, all very girly) I washed diapers, hung diapers, changed diapers, made blueberry muffins, made choclate chip cookies, drank a cold cup of coffee, watched a worship video with Alec screaming in the background about how he wants to watch Pocahontas, not this "stupid" churchy thing, ... finished my video, did several other things that I can't even remember but an interesting story will follow... and guess what they are watching now....yup, John Smith and good old Pocahontas.
Lets see, what else occurred today, oh, yeah! Something remarkable to me. Alec was rubbing his eye complaining how it hurt, then it got a little worse and as he continued his rubbing it progressed from ' I wonder if this really hurts' to 'TAKE ME TO THE DOCTOR! I NEED A DOCTOR!'
so
we go down the hall to the bedroom where I can turn on the Air Conditioner and look at his eye, close the door, open the door, close the door, open the door, ...."ELIAS! leave the door shut! NO, no no hunny, come in and shut the door!" Finally, let's have a look at that eye. rub rub rub, big crocodile tears, still in need of a Doctor, and his horrible needles, even willing to undergo a needle if the need arises!
THEN....it happens.....
Alec says, I wish I was a boy with bones. (you see, he thinks he's a robot and has metal inside and can never get really truely hurt) So, here he is wishing he was just a boy with bones and that GOD WOULD STOP PUTTING BAD THINGS IN HIS EYES! and the wailing ensues....
and...
the yelling and storming at God the Father for putting bad things in his eyes and wanting God to remove what he has lodged in this four year olds eye.
So, we pray, for healing, and for bones
"... in Jesus' name, Amen."
a nanosecond later,
the wailing stops.
An eyelash pops
out of Alecs eye
and onto his cheek.
"Thanks God for fixing my eyes, now about those bones..."
geesh.
I amazed at the swiftness of this miracle.
I am also very thankful for Air Con.
Then the day continued...
we read a few Buzz Lightyear related stories, chatted a bit, did more laundry, now we are watching Pocahontas and asking for choclate milk.
What a day so far. It's only 4:30pm.
must go look after the little bots.
